Is Ole Out of Order?

We're doing something differently on this one. The below article was sent in from a friend of mine who is a Leicester City fan, and are his thoughts on the issue regarding the team selection that Manchester United made against the Foxes on Tuesday. He has asked to keep his name out of article, which I will be doing. He raises some very valid points regarding the whole saga, and there are questions that have been left unanswered and swept under the carpet somewhat. So the fundamental question is a simple one - Is Ole Out of Order?

"As I write this as a smiling City fan, I can’t help but feel OGS is getting stick he does not deserve. You may think I’m about to say that Ole can play any team he wishes, but no, I believe Ole fielding a weakened team is an insult to the Premier League and the very integrity that football fans went on the attack to protect, when the European Super League conversations came about.

So who is to blame? The answer to this is simple The FA.

Once again you may feel you know what I’m going to say, that the FA are out of order making Manchester United play 3 games in 5 days and you are kind of right, Manchester should not have to play 3 games in 5 days culminating with Liverpool on Thursday night, they shouldn’t have to play Liverpool at all. It is a complete injustice to Liverpool and many around them in the league that Manchester United not controlling their fans (idiots) impacts others, the FA should have shown a backbone and awarded the game at Old Trafford to Liverpool. As a Leicester fan I won’t kid you that I’m not happy with the decision but the FA’s decision once again shows the Big Club bias in the premier league.

When Middlesborough didn’t have enough players to field a team they not only had to give up the fixture but they were deducted 3 points, 3 points which ultimately led to them being relegated on the last day of the Season by a single point. Is the FA now saying to all fans in the Premier League, next time your team is missing a number of key players for a game you may want to win, break the law, break terrorist protocol and storm your club's stadium. For me, United not playing a fixture due to a number of idiot fans is a far more serious offence than Middlesborough, but which team get the kid glove treatment and which team gets the punishment that ultimately cost the club £50m+ in revenue?

The FA should show some backbone, award Liverpool the game at OT and hit United with a 15 point penalty. Then who can United fans blame for not being in the Champions league? Only themselves! It would also cost United an equivalent amount in revenue that it cost Middlesborough all those years ago. Ironically, this punishment may be enough for the idiots to get their wish and oust the Glaziers! This is the FA’s chance to show some backbone and state it is not ok to break the law if your club does something you're not happy with."
